Setup through FTP? Empty Setup through FTP?

My friend and I have bought a minecraft server through verygames.us, which give us FTP access to the files. Is there any way to point MineControl to the location of the minecraft.jar file on the FTP server? actually, now that I think about it, I haven't seen a minecraft.jar file in any minecraft file structure since the update to 1.0

PLEASE HELP ASAP!
